[post_content] => The Society is encouraging members to organise a new round of local meetings in which they can connect with fellow homeopaths and talk informally about issues they face.

Members should look to organise the meetings – which normally last around 90 minutes and can be held during the day or evening at a clinic, home or community centre – over the next four weeks (mid-April to mid-May).

The suggested topic for discussion for this Spring’s meetings is members’ practical experience and work on posology (appropriate dosage).

The Society will provide a session plan for facilitators and the meetings are open to members, student members and non-members alike. All feedback from the meetings will be used to inform the future activities of the Society.

Angelika Metzger, a homeopath who practises in north-west and west London, enjoys the chance to exchange ideas and share experiences with fellow homeopaths in her area.

“I particularly appreciate the inclusiveness in that all homeopaths and students - even if they are not Society members - can participate. I find the welcoming approach and support of the Society team useful in organising these meetings and the suggested topics are interesting and stimulate enthusiastic discussions.

“The meetings provide a platform for homeopaths to connect and learn from each other,” she added. “In unity is strength, and these meetings offer a space to bring us together as a profession.”

The meetings are a perfect opportunity to air a variety of views and opinions, said Liz Wootliff, the Society’s professional development coordinator.

“Collaboration and conversation are at the heart of a homeopath’s personal and professional development. Talking in groups like this encourages people to discuss issues they probably can’t raise in any other forum and their feedback is an important pointer to the future direction the Society should be taking in order to support them more effectively.”
