[post_content] => Experts from across a range of specialisms in complementary healthcare are coming together in London in October for the Integrative Health Convention.

The event, open to the public as well as practitioners, offers people the opportunity to learn about different practices in the complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) field, including how they can work in harmony with traditional approaches to health and wellbeing.

This year, there are three main themes: physical therapies, psychological therapies, and business/marketing for health practitioners.

There are several talks on each day, offering experts' insights into what they do and how you can apply it in your practice or personal life. Topics range from Reiki, Ayurveda, massage as medicine, acupuncture, hypnosis, an intro to traditional Chinese medicine, mindfulness and aromatherapy to the psychology of wellness, the future of chronic disease care, treating ADHD using complementary care, and setting up an integrated NHS primary care centre.

Among more than 30 speakers at the two-day event is Mani Norland (pictured), Principal of the School of Homeopathy, who will cover how homeopathy works and explain how people can use it at home.

"My talk is aimed at people who know little or nothing about homeopathy and my hope is to inspire more people to go and see a homeopath," he said.

"It is fantastic to see an event on natural health aimed at the general public and practitioners. I feel it is important that the natural health therapies unite more in this manner. It shows strength, solidarity and choice and conveys a real sense of depth and scale."

The Integrative Health Convention is on October 5 and 6 at the Park Plaza Victoria, London. For details of the programme click here
