The Society of Homeopaths is offering grants of up £3,500 for RSHoms or organisations that employ RSHoms to set up temporary clinics offering homeopathy at a considerable discount to patients from disadvantaged backgrounds.
With this new initiative the Society is aiming to:
Extend the reach of homeopathy to all sides of the community
Encourage collaboration in practice
Build active homeopathy hubs in communities
Provide stepping stones into practice for newly qualified RSHoms
Develop links with community organisations
Hilary Fairclough, Vice Chair, says this is something that the Society has been looking to do for some time. ‘For us, this provides a valuable opportunity to offer homeopathy to new people as well as give young RSHoms a step up. We know that some RSHoms and other organisations have been running similar schemes and we are open to applications from those who have experience in this field’
Funding will be available for between 4 and 8 schemes which must be completed within 18 months.
