Qamar Mahmood currently resides in Melbourne, Australia, where he practices homeopathy full-time. He is a board member of the Australian Register of Homoeopaths (AROH) and also a professional member of the Australian Homoeopathic Association.
Qamar holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Homoeopathy from the University of Central Lancashire (2005), and has accreditations from the Royal Society of Health (UK) and the Society of Homeopaths (UK).
He also holds an M.D in Alternative Medicine from International University for Complementary Medicine, Colombo, Sri Lanka – Pakistan Campus (1997) where he topped as gold medalist in clinical work.
Born in 1971, Qamar received his primary and secondary education in Karachi, Pakistan. He earned his D.H.M.S in 1994 from Pakistan Central Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Karachi. Following his father’s death, he along with his elder brother took over Mansoora Homoeo Clinic. He went on to earn an M.Sc in Microbiology from the University of Karachi, Pakistan (1995).
From 1998 to 2009, he was a full-time faculty member at Pakistan Central Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital. He was also instrumental in setting up Imrooz Institute of Homeopathy (IIH) in Karachi in 2011, and continues to advise the team and consult for IIH patients.
Qamar is passionate about learning and strives for continuous development and improvement, for which he actively participates in conferences, seminars and workshops in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England and Australia.
