Don’t miss the recording of this Conference ‘How to make your garden flourish’. I must admit I used to treat my plants homeopathically and had lapsed. This has renewed my enthusiasm especially as I won a copy of Christiane Maute’s book 'Homeopathy for Plants.' It has a forward by Cornelia her daughter.
Cornelia Maute’s lecture ‘Homeopathy for your garden’ was concise and easy to follow. Eight remedies to start with - a joy! My transplanted plants have had their Arnica 200 and are doing well. A damaged silver birch is now recovering and growing more shoots after its treatment of Arnica 200 and Calendula 30. Her book is colourful, and well laid out with lovely photos.
Next up we had Camilla Sherr’s lecture ‘Treating plants like humans’. The same keynotes apply. Again informative and interesting, Camilla gave good advice on fixing spider mites, poisoned earth, black spot and slugs. All of my garden has now had its dose of Calendula for recovery after the ravages of Winter.
Claire Hattersley gave a fascinating ‘Introduction to biodynamic gardening.’ Years ago I inherited a Steiner group which met in my waiting room for many years. A biodynamic farmer used to come and sell us boxes of fruit and veg. Food from another world! So I already knew about horn manure and moon calendars. I love the idea that the earth breaths out in the morning and in during the afternoon.
At lunchtime Jaye Lyons talked about the invaluable work of Homeopathy at Wellie Level (HAWL).
I never realised how much they trained farmers in basic homeopathy. How wonderful that the word is spreading in this way!
In the afternoon Mark Moodie talked about ‘What Biodynamics and Homeopathy can learn from each other’. Zofia introduced him as they had originally met at Monkton Wylde. I know it well. Biodynamics and Homeopathy are certainly sister disciplines. Look at www.considera.org. for more information on the preparations and planting by the stars and general information on biodynamics.
Finally we had the brilliant Dr Radko Tichavsky. He spoke about ‘Holohomeopathy and its contribution to agriculture in the times of climate change.’ As he said, we all have a responsibility in these times.

I was really excited about this conference as I’ve just recently been introduced to the idea of Agrohomeopathy.
Camilla and Connie’s presentations were both great and so easy to understand. As I am very new to homeopathy, repertorising is still a bit daunting, so having some basic remedies to work with really helps. Both these presentations explained how you look at, and diagnose, “symptoms” very clearly and helped me understand all of it a lot better. I appreciated that they both kept it very simple as it was a good basis for a beginner like me to work from.
I loved Claire’s presentation on biodynamics and the importance of soil health above everything. I’ve used some of the homeopathic remedies in my garden already. Some of them worked, some didn’t, and I really believe that those that didn’t work were possibly due to the health of the soil. Lots more to experiment with and learn there! The idea of planting with the moon makes a lot of sense, knowing how much of an influence the moon has on us. Learning about the other calendars you can use to plant with was also great, as it gives options and many ways to plant optimally. I just love the whole idea of working with nature and what it has to offer, instead of going against it. What she said about the importance of “weeds” and focusing on balance in your garden made a lot of sense.
I just briefly listened to Homeopathy at Wellie level, but it’s so nice that more and more farmers are using homeopathy to help their animals, and that this foundation exists to help them.
Mark’s presentation was interesting, and he made very good points about potency, which I’m still a bit clueless about. I got the book he suggested and had a look at his website, which I’m very interested to start implementing and seeing how it ties in with Camilla and Connie’s advice
Radko’s presentation about holohomeopathy was mind-blowing. I still want to listen to it a few more times to really wrap my head around it. What he said about not just using a remedy as we would on a human, and understanding more about the plant’s structure and the soil, etc, makes a lot of sense.
Overall it was a great conference and I’m so grateful I got to attend!!
