All in the mind

Winter Workshop
With Michael Bird – Elizabeth Adalian – Gabby Arthur

In our ever changing post pandemic world, the effect of the global economy and the restructuring of the working environment has resulted in more and more people working from home.

All of these changes are in some cases a recipe for the build up of mental health issues caused by isolation and loneliness resulting in medical services being oversubscribed and patients not receiving the support they need. With teenage suicide on the increase partly due to pressure from social media the cause and effect has amplified.

This mental health workshop will help you feel more  comfortable treating some of the more complex issues that arise. We will explore PTSD, a better understanding of delusional states and the meanings of the  rubrics necessary to help you identify the similimum more easily. Finally, we will explore in depth the endemic that we find around us.

Delusions in Homeopathy with Michael Bird
Michael will explore the history of delusions in psychiatry and homeopathy including the types and themes of delusions. Rubrics and corresponding materia medica to common delusions in psychiatry will be provided. In addition, we will look at the language of delusions in the Repertory including a modern view.

The Role of Homeopathy in Light of the Mental Health Crisis in Current Hectic Times with Elizabeth Adalian
Mental health has become an endemic issue – some may say as a result of such influences as globalisation and the internet.
Elizabeth sets out to show how homeopathy can lead the way in restoring resilience and even recognising how a new miasm may be being created in front of our eyes.

About Elizabeth
Elizabeth has been a practising homeopath for over thirty years. During this time, she has built up a reputation for knowledge of lesser known remedies and has written two books.

Elizabeth spent many years volunteering as a homeopath in former war torn countries. It was as a result of this influence that she came to realise that trauma is not contained in the event experienced but what the individual brings to that influence as a result of early life (or even pre-birth influences). She translated this into her practice on her return to the UK and formulated an approach which was highly effective in addressing life long issues for her patients.
