Cutting Edge Research in Homeopathy back in the UK this summer Friday 16th – Sunday 18th June

After a Pandemic-induced pause, and a successful online conference last year, the Homeopathy Research Institute’s brilliant international science showcase is back in the real world, bringing world-class academics together in London. Commending the unique programme of all the latest and best in homeopathy research, HRI communications manager Chris Connolly says “We are very pleased to be returning to a face-to-face format event for the first time in four years, with the invaluable opportunity for networking and collaboration that this offers”. The view of Tower Bridge may not entice you, although it’s great for iconic mementos.  The SoH member discount may not entice you, although the £140 early-bird saving on a packed programme of presentations is generous. But the opportunity to encounter the best and brightest in the world of homeopathy may well persuade you: over 35 speakers are coming together, and each will share high-calibre research with us (plus a plethora of poster presentations). There are four keynote speakers, each a leader in their field: Professor Jennifer Jacobs first came to homeopaths’ attention for a ground-breaking study on individualised homeopathic treatment in childhood diarrhoea, published in a mainstream pediactrics journal.  Now assistant clinical professor in epidemiology at the University of Washington School of Public Health, she will share insights from 30 years in academic homeopathy research. Ubiratan Adler, clinical assistant professor at the Federal University of Sao Carlos in Brazil, will discuss challenges and solutions in running clinical trials using homeopathy for mental health and addiction disorders.  He is also involved in integration of complementary therapies into mainstream healthcare in Brazil. Attendees at HRI London 2019 will have heard Dr Stephan Baumgartner speak, and he is back for 2023.  He will share insights from his 25 years in basic research into homeopathic potentisation.  He is a senior researcher and lecturer at the University of Bern. The fourth keynote speaker, Dr Antonio López Carvallo is a researcher in Mexico and in California, and supporting sustainable marine systems is his focus: this is high-end high-dilution research, investigating water-based systems that are clearly impervious to any possibility of placebo. This lively mix of familiar and lesser-known scientists and approaches to research is reflected throughout the programme, which has just been released: https://www.hrilondon2023.org/schedule/  After all this, you may need to relax your brain a little – take a look at the options https://www.hrilondon2023.org/social-programme/ The Early Bird discount for the conference is available until 31st March, and the booking link is here: https://www.hrilondon2023.org/register/. From 1st April, SoH members will still save £75. Suse Moebius RSHom Material published in this section of the website does not necessarily reflect the opinion of the Society of Homeopaths.
