[post_content] => Zofia Dymitr has been re-elected to a senior post with the European Central Council of Homeopaths (ECCH), the leading network for homeopathy internationally.

Zofia, the Society of Homeopaths' representative to ECCH, was returned as vice-chair for a second term at the council’s AGM in the Netherlands. The Society is the sole British member organisation of ECCH.

“I am delighted to be able to continue to support ECCH’s focus on representing the homeopathy profession in Europe for another two year term as vice-chair,” she said. “It is vital that homeopathy organisations across Europe continue to work together and share dialogue across the key issues and challenges facing homeopathy today.”

ECCH met in the Netherlands earlier this month (June), hosted by the Netherlands national association for homeopaths, NVKH.

At the meeting, representatives from 15 of the 23 member associations also voted to move forward on standards for the profession by appointing a working group to consider a minimum standards for membership of ECCH.

Zofia added: “This feels as though ECCH has made a significant step forward by moving from guidelines to standards which will verify the professionalism and credibility of the profession.”

ECCH also welcomed a new observer association for homeopaths who treat animals. Ricarda Dill gave a presentation on how members can treat animals in Germany and said her association will benefit from ECCH membership.
