Rowena has been a registered homeopath for 25 years and, as a science graduate now pursuing a professional doctorate, says re-focusing on research is ‘a natural progression’ in her career. “Those crucial analytical skills which have been ‘honed’ in my practice sit happily alongside the healing art that is homeopathy,” she said. “Joining the committee, I am eager to help others develop and thrive within our shared vision of homeopathy achieving its rightful place in the world.” Sabina recently graduated from the North West College of Homeopathy and has a PhD in Medicine from the University of Manchester. She has worked on many research trials within the university and the NHS and has several academic publications in peer-reviewed journals to her name. “As a member of the sub-committee, I hope to apply my extensive knowledge and experience of homeopathic research to guide other practitioners into engaging with research activities,” she said. Karen has been a member of the Society for almost 20 years during which time she has worked part-time as both a homeopath and a science teacher. She said: “I joined the sub-committee in the belief that it is important to raise the profile of published homeopathic research in a safe and professional way.” The sub-committee is made up of 10 RSHoms, meets three times a year and reports to the Public Affairs Committee (PAC).
