[post_content] => Emily Buttrum is to be the new Chief Executive of the Society of Homeopaths.

She takes up her appointment on October 1, succeeding Mark Taylor who is retiring after almost five years in the post.

Emily has 17 years’ experience in business development, marketing and commercial roles across private and NHS healthcare organisations. Latterly, she was commercial director of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust where she supervised a varied programme of strategic projects.

“I am delighted to be appointed Chief Executive for the Society of Homeopaths which will continue to protect and develop the reputation of homeopathy and support patients in choosing homeopathy for themselves and their families,” she said.

“I am passionate about individual approaches to health and wellbeing and will be seeking to develop the role of the Society in integrated healthcare. Working with partner organisations and education institutes to raise professional standards and respond positively to the media will be a priority.”
