[post_content] => Bowel nosodes and their role in homeopathy are the subject of a Society seminar led by Hilery Dorrian in Manchester on October 12.

Hilery, who has used the remedies in her practice for many years, says they could be used to help many patients if they were more widely known and understood.

"People are taught about bowel nosodes but the teaching isn't always from experience. I was taught about them when I trained as a homeopath but I had no clear idea of how I might use them and, if I did, which one to use.

"As a practitioner and through research, I've built up my knowledge of these remedies. I've also developed a deep understanding of how important the gut is to our health and how getting it healthy can make a great difference to our overall wellbeing. As a result, bowel nosodes have become the backbone of my practice."

Hilery's lecture covers an introduction to using bowel nosodes, drawing on some elements of traditional Chinese medicine, and an in-depth look at the Materia Medica of the individual remedies

"Once people understand them, they often put them straight into practice," she adds.

The day-long seminar is at Luther King House in Manchester on Friday October 12, starting at 10am. To book click here
