[post_content] => Stephen has been a Society member for 36 years and served on the board of directors for 19 years. Stephen's vision was for a community for homeopaths within Europe and world wide supporting the development of the profession and campaigning to make sure patients can choose homeopathy.

To that end the European Central Council of Homeopaths was founded, and then the International Council for Homeopaths. Stephen worked tirelessly for both, attending meetings, forging relationships with politicians and speaking up for homeopaths and homeopathy. We owe Stephen an eternal debt of gratitude for his vision, for his energy and total commitment. Many will also remember his cabaret turns at conference , singing out in fine voice for homeopathy.

Tributes to Stephen have been pouring in and further coverage of Stephen's life and work will be published in the autumn issue of the Society journal 'The Homeopath'

"Stephen Gordon was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. His contribution and enthusiasm being huge. We got to know one another at the dawn of the resurgence of homeopathy and the establishment of the Society of Homeopaths. A legend at conferences, with an operatic singing voice - my God, he was a star!  He has always been there, a totally reliable figure in international homeopathy, completely approachable, steadfast, helpful and kind. We miss him greatly, and will continue to feel the loss in both personal and professional contexts. Good forward journey, dear friend." Misha Norland FSHom

"Stephen worked tirelessly for the promotion and organization of homeopathy both in the UK and internationally. His time as Society chair was a very formative one and brought a new level of professionalism to the Society.

He was an eloquent and confident spokesman whose regular presence at the AGMs always kept everyone on their toes. We had many wonderful times with him at conferences especially when he was singing onstage in full voice leading the rendition of ‘Rule Sam Hahnemann’. A founding pillar of the Society and a great ambassador for homeopathy has sadly left us and he will be missed by many at home and abroad.

His memory will live on as will his legacy to establish homeopathy to its rightful place in the world, an ideal he lived for and supported for most of his life." John Morgan FSHom

"With his immense energy and enthusiasm, Stephen made such an important contribution to homeopathy in the UK and across Europe: I am so sorry to hear of his passing and will miss him greatly." Sue Crump FSHom
