[post_content] => Robert Davidson, one of the founder members of the Society of Homeopaths, has died.

Robert, who was 72, was a leading light of the homeopathy sector throughout the 1970s and 1980s, helping to rekindle popular interest in its remedies and the wider field.

In 1978, he established the College of Homeopathy - the first school of its kind in London - in collaboration with the late Martin Miles. Robert subsequently set up the College of Practical Homeopathy in three sites, two in the UK and one in Iceland.

Well known throughout the UK and always a lively contributor to the debates around both philosophy and practice, Robert was a member of the Society's board of directors in the eighties.

An obituary will follow in the summer issue of the Society journal the New Homeopath.
