[post_content] => Members of the Society of Homeopaths are being invited to take part in the annual membership survey.

The survey - an online questionnaire - enables the Society to keep up-to-date with who members are and how homeopathy features in their professional lives as well as enabling assessment of trends over time

It is a key channel of communication between members, the board and senior Society staff, said Pamela Stevens, the Society's Marketing Manager

“We are always keen for as many members as possible to take part in the annual survey as we use it to shape and improve the services the society provides,” she said..

“Last year’s survey highlighted that members were keen to see the Society promoting homeopathy to the public and media. We have taken steps to address that, including refreshing the website to make it more user-friendly and to incorporate more news and updates on the Society's work."

One of the elements of this year's survey focuses on members' use of social media which will help the Society to assess how it can use channels like Facebook and Twitter more effectively to engage with the membership, Pamela added.

"We know that social media offers more opportunities to share messages about the Society and its work and one of the first courses on our new e-learning platform offers an introduction to Facebook for this reason. We are now keen to know more about how members use different platforms to help us assess how we can enhance our activity."

The survey for members only can be found on SurveyMonkey and is open to both student and registered members until 16 February. It should take less than 20 minutes to complete, depending on membership category and length of answers. Participants will also have the option to enter a free draw to win a £50 Minerva book voucher.

Details of the survey and a link to it are in the weekly e-newsletter or contact Pamela Stevens at pamela_stevens@homeopathy-soh.org for more information.
