[post_content] => Homeopaths could be missing a trick by not actively promoting the benefits of remedies for people facing emotional difficulties, according to Philippa Fibert.

Philippa, a homeopath and researcher, bases her claim on the results of a recent trial she supervised which showed that emotional issues were the most common problems experienced by children seeking homeopathic treatment.

“One of the most important things to explore in children particularly is where their difficulties originated,” she says in a blog for this website. “Did mum have a particular experience during pregnancy? Is there a family pre-disposition? Did something happen at school?

“It is a unique selling point of homeopathy that we can address these aetiologies (causes) with appropriate remedies,” says Philippa, who adds that the current generation of children were exposed to challenges which require a particularly robust approach.

“Families are often at sea as to how to best help their children. It is a joy to be able to support them on their journey,” she adds.

Philippa will give a presentation on the treatment of issues such as temper tantrums, meltdowns, depression and anxiety at the Society’s symposium on young people’s emotional health and wellbeing which takes place on September 28 (10am–5pm) at 365 Holloway Road, London.
