[post_content] => Patricia Hatherly brings 20 years’ experience as both a classical homeopath and a lactation consultant when she appears as one of the ‘Three Wise Women’ exploring the role homeopathy can play in pregnancy and infertility at the Society’s annual conference in March.

Based in Brisbane, Patricia’s dual specialisms have led to a particular interest in assisting women and babies, most commonly with respect to colic and reflux. She is also consulted on infertility and breastfeeding issues and behavioural problems in children.

“Unicef informs us that over a million babies - predominantly in under-developed countries - die each year as a consequence of not being breastfed. However, we in the West have swapped mortality for morbidity, and how to deal with that clinically is a discussion which we homeopaths need to have,” she says.

The other two ‘wise women’ appearing at the conference - held over the weekend March 22-24 at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University – are Karen Allen from America, the founder of the online Homeopathic Tutorials and Linda Gwillim, a fellow of the Society who runs a successful practice in Wales.
