Northwest College of Homeopathy, Manchester (NWCH)

NWCH now offers anyone wanting to embark on homeopathic training the chance to do a portion of their studies as an online course. All the lectures from the classrooms in Belmont House are now broadcast live on a state-of-the-art webinar platform with recordings of each session subsequently made available in an online library, a useful resource for students unable to attend sessions regularly. This development has led to the college being awarded the Society of Homeopaths Teaching Innovation award. For further information on studying Homeopathy or taking advantage of CPD opportunities at the college, either in person or online, go to NWCH

School of Homeopathy, Gloucestershire

As part of the School's UK Programme, students annually take part in the proving of a new remedy and most recently they conducted a proving of sloth. Participation in this process provides invaluable insights into the philosophy of healing as well as the action of homeopathic remedies. The school will soon be combining all its prover diaries into one database with each symptom and keyword reviewed and grouped into sets of similar symptoms. It will also be highlighting the main themes that come through student overview essays, comparing both resources to from conclusive sets. The overview comprises source information about the substance along with what is known about the animal in nature, history, folklore and mythology. Once completed, the proving will be published on the School of Homeopathy website

Homeopathic College of East Anglia

Students have been formulating plans to mix business and pleasure in order to mark Homeopathy Awareness Week which takes place April 10-16. A website will be launched for the event on Saturday, April 13 which will be held in the crypt of Norwich Cathedral. With a theme of “Empowering Your Health and Wellbeing”, the college is inviting not only local homeopaths and students to participate but has widened the net to include other well-respected therapies and practitioners. It will feature a programme of workshops, talks and other activities and is being promoted by the associated Norwich School with all their 1,500 parents invited. Meanwhile, the College recently presented a Homeopathic Introduction Saturday which was well-attended and presented by a former graduate. These events enable anyone exploring the possibility of professional homeopathic study to learn more about the potential of a homeopathic career and hear about student life directly from a past student.
