keelehallCountdown to Keele - 19th & 20th September

With only just over two weeks to go, now is the time to select your workshop and book for conference.

Apart from the informative international speaker programme, there are many opportunities to catch up with the latest developments from homeopathy charities, the Professional Standards Authority, 4Homeopathy and the wider community via the 'Question Time' panel and the trio of workshops.

Choose from the following workshops:

Homeopaths & autism - capturing our effectiveness
Philippa Fibert RSHom - Society Research Consultant

Children presenting with autism spectrum conditions (ASDs) are an increasing part of homeopaths' practices, with many success stories. But how effective are we collectively? This workshop presents a new project which aims to start answering this question and provide practical steps enabling your involvement. By the end of the session you should have a clear idea of how to participate and contribute your ASD patients' cases to this project. You will also have an idea how you might start up a similar project for other conditions, receiving ongoing support from the Society research consultant, and contribute to development of awareness of what our profession can achieve.

Creating your professional profile
Sue Crump FSHom - Society Registrar
Linda Wicks RSHom - Senior Education Adviser

How can you build your own professional profile?

Explore the key elements of being 'a professional' in modern healthcare and share your ideas and successes with other homeopaths. This group will work collaboratively to consider different models of working and ways of making more effective connections.

Find out how the Society can support you in promoting your professional practice and making a mark in your local community.  Bring your ideas and questions and share practical strategies and materials. There will be opportunities for individuals to discuss specific issues and situations.

Social media and marketing workshop
Emma Colley RSHom, Social Media consultant for
Homeopathy Action Trust and 4Homeopathy

Emma believes that anyone can use social media in their work promoting themselves or their practice, easily and efficiently. The aim of the workshop is to help you realise what may work well for you, to help you gain the confidence to do it and share practical skills and insights.

The session can work flexibly around the needs of the participants with the overall aim being to cover:

getting set up and using twitter effectively

#homeopathyhour

the why, what and when of blogging

facebook - how to do it professionally

creating content - images, sharing information and finding links

marketing - website, other promotional material, yourself

Emma would love to assist with any queries you've got too, so feel free to bring questions along!
