Former teacher and headhunter
Homeopathy came along for me, following careers in teaching and headhunting.
Having been extremely sceptical about those little white pills, I have now come to appreciate the true potency and power of homeopathy, and its ability to change lives.
I have continued to use teaching skills to share what I have learned at homeopathic seminars and conferences around the world. Running a headhunting database was not only a great introduction to computers, but also good training in searching for the person (remedy) for the right job (patient). Even high school chemistry (which I never thought could be useful in later life!) has found its place in study of the mineral kingdom remedies. Nothing is wasted!
Working with Synergy software and at Helios Pharmacy I’ve had ideal opportunities to meet and mix with some fantastic colleagues – I’ve yet to meet a homeopath who hasn’t at least a few wonderful examples of the magic and transformation that can occur with a deep and long lasting life change after a remedy, changes brought about by those tiny doses that I was so sceptical about.
But the proof of the pudding was in the eating. I’ve been practising now for 20 years. I love being self-employed and organising my own time. Brain stimulation is always available from patients and practitioners, or more structured routes, e.g. a Master of Science degree from University of Central Lancashire.
Studying homeopathy has helped me to learn so much about self, life, people. I relish the opportunity to travel and meet like-minded souls from nearly every continent, and the development of international friendships. Yes, homeopathy as a career choice can have its frustrations, but for fulfilment, it wins hands down.
