Society Chairman Kiran Grover appeared on the breakfast show on Voice of Islam radio today to discuss the world wide use of homeopathy.
Kiran reported how homeopathy has been around for over 200 years and is used by 200 million people around the world. Kiran explained that although it is not known how homeopathy works, there is evidence to show that is effective as highlighted by the popular Homeopathy Research Institute website.
Kiran was joined by Oliver Dowding organic farmer and spokesperson for The Green Party of England and Wales who discussed the use of homeopathy in the treatment of farm animals as championed by Prince Charles. Prince Charles recently defended homeopathy by relaying his preferred use of homeopathy instead of antibiotics in the treatment of his farm animals.
Dr Sarah Eames from the Faculty of Homeopathy explained how she came to use homeopathy in her general practice and encouraged listeners to ask their GP to refer them to one of the NHS Homeopathy hospitals.
Breakfast show presenters from the Voice of Islam went on to share their personal family experiences of using homeopathy in the treatment of various conditions and echoed their support of the profession and the provision of the medicines on the NHS. Kiran explained the importance of seeing a qualified and registered homeopath and recomnended listeners contact the Society for details of practitioners in their local area.
